New Delhi was constructed by Shah Jahan, the Mughal Emperor. New Delhi overlies the site which has as many as seven ancient cities and for this reason has a wealth of historical structures. New Delhi has a very modern look with tall buildings, choc a bloc shopping plazas and multiplexes. Some of the nearby tourist places include Red Fort, the Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana. Tourists can also hop off to Rashtrapati Bhawan, Laxminarayan Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Purana Quila, Qutub Minar and the Bahai Temple. There are a number of hotels in New Delhi to for both the holiday makers and the business travelers.
