New Delhi was constructed by Shah Jahan, the Mughal Emperor. New Delhi overlies the site which has as many as seven ancient cities and for this reason has a wealth of historical structures. Tourists can also hop off to Rashtrapati Bhawan, Laxminarayan Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Purana Quila, Qutub Minar and the Bahai Temple.
